Potential Matchups for Premier League Clubs
Liverpool, who finished at the top of their Champions League group, could face a challenging tie against Paris Saint-Germain, who currently lead their playoff match against Brest 3-0. Alternatively, the Reds may be drawn against either Monaco or Benfica, with the latter holding a 1-0 lead going into the second leg.
Arsenal could be pitted against Italian giants AC Milan or Juventus, who lead their respective playoff ties, or Dutch clubs PSV Eindhoven or Feyenoord.
Aston Villa, meanwhile, may face one of Atalanta, Borussia Dortmund, Sporting, or Club Brugge, with Dortmund currently leading Sporting 3-0 and Brugge holding a surprise 2-1 advantage over Atalanta.
If Manchester City overcome their deficit against Real Madrid, they will take on either Atlético Madrid or Bayer Leverkusen in the round of 16.
In the Europa League, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur could face AZ Alkmaar, Midtjylland, Real Sociedad, or Galatasaray, with AZ Alkmaar and Real Sociedad holding the edge in their respective ties.
